PERSONAL INTRODUCTION:
""My name is Iryna. I am the owner of Magic Keys Piano studio. I am a professional, classically trained, and highly qualified piano teacher with 20+ years of experience. Born in the European country of Belarus, I began playing at age of 8. First, I completed a specialized music school, then studied piano performance, music theory, and pedagogy at Oginsky college. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Instruction, I continued professional training at the Belarus State University of Culture and Arts and earned another degree in Performing Arts. I taught for 15 years at the same music school that I attended and was the head of the piano department there for the last 2 years. I established a private piano teaching practice in Darien in 2016.
I value the joyful process of making music and try to keep lessons engaging. I stay patient and enthusiastic about my lessons. I strive to be as supportive as possible and take a detail-oriented approach that ensures steady progress and mastery of pieces. Focusing on individual learning styles of each student, I work to build a solid foundation in the areas of technique, rhythmic training, sight-reading and other essentials to inspire students to understand music, including different time periods and musical genres. This prepares them for continued study in piano and helps enjoy music in general.
